Wash your hand. (Sorry had to say it.) I would suggest bagging the poo and taking it to the vet to check for parasites.

You'll probably have to call around to find a vet that knows about reptiles. It's a specialized field. But it's important to find one, and yeah take a bus if you have to.

Is it possible the snake had literrally JUST done the poo? From seeing out BP poo it is pretty yuckey when it first "comes out"

All i can say is that the "pellet" that i usually take form the tank takes about 30mins to an hour to form from what exits the snake - without seeing what you have seen its impossible to say if that is what has happened

Only cos i has such a good teacher!!
Oh, and collect a sample of the poo. If it is parasites, they'll need to check the poo to confirm it.
When I needed a reptile vet, I just called the nearest small animal vet and asked if they could recommend one, and they gave me some names.

looks like normal poo to me.some of my carpets pass loose stools from time to time.ive found when i change them onto rats from mice it happens for the first few weeks.
if you are taking a sample to the vet once you scoop it up seal it in a bag.put bag in a tub with a lid and pop it in the fridge.do not freeze it as it kills most of the parasites your trying to detect.like humans imo snakes can have the odd watery poo every now and again.
as long as your snakes not showing any other unhealthy symptoms i would worry too much.just keep an eye on it to make sure it dont get really bad or start to show signs of dehydration.
cheers shaun

What is the BP eating? If it's a young snake and is eating pinkies or very small pups, loose poo is not a cause for concern. Pinkies and very young pups do not have a solid bone structure yet, and poop from eating them tends to be very loose if not diarrhea-like. If it a grown snake I would think it would most likely be parasites, or stress. Stress, such as from a move, can do odd things to animals and people. It could also be the beginnings of an illness. I would get the poop to a good reptile vet for testing. You will want to put it in a baggie with a bit of water and set it in your fridge. You can't let the poop dry out or it can't be tested. Keep it wet and get it to a vet as soon as you can.
