i have a bp, a corn snake, and a garter snake[sorry for no pictures]. is it better to have them in separate aquariums or in a rack/stacked. aquariums are more expensive but since they need different temperatures[not too far off] do they need spread out enclosures

We have corns, BP, and a Spiny tailed monitor in a stack - just put the one needing the hottest temp at the top of the stack and it should be ok - obviously you would need heating and thermostat in each viv also.
Here is a picture of our setup

Try thinking differently, I find my aquariums very cheap or even free.
look in the paper for used aquariums, look on Craig's list, check rummage sales.
leaking aquariums still make fine snake enclosures, and a lot of people give away leaking aquariums.
I got a 35 gallon complete with a screen top along the side of the road one day with a sign attached "free"

I have Boaphile plastic stackable cages and they rock. New they're about $200.00 to $250.00, but if you shop around you can find deals. I got 4 4x2x1 cages used for $300.00. Found them on kingsnake. com. Best money i ever spent on cages. I like that they have double locks. Have never had a snake get out. Plus they're light weight and easy to move. Not the greats pic. I need to get some new ones. 9694

it depends what you want really... if you like to be able to see your snakes activity and make natural looking habitats etc. i would go for terrariums. if you're more inclined for a clean and basic look you could go with stacks like chucks boaphiles (which are great looking btw :D) you could also build or buy a rack system with tubs like rubbermaids or sterilites etc. i keep mine in rubbermaids and i dont mind it, i'd prefer something like boaphiles but i'm sure i'll get those soon enough lol
"...check rummage sales."
Wow Wayne; "rummage sales"?
I haven't heard that word since 1979.
