I've been involved with pets my whole life, and kept reptiles back in the bad old '70's when everything was available (but wild caught - pre-Cites crackdown) and was guaranteed to die within months. I got disappointed and stopped killing specimens but worked in a pet store bringing in all kinds of stuff. I've got lots of alomst-current knowledge about reptiles, but have been essentially out of the hobby for 13 years. Lately my sons showed interest so I purchased a 4' albino Honduran milk. I like it so much knowing these are healthy, acclimatized animals, I may just get some more!

it sounds quite harsh but essentially, the biz had to start somewhere. you figure aquarists had it harder then us herpers trying to keep their nitrates, ph and whatever other thousands of different chemicals in line haha. Welcome to the forum and im sure youll pick it all up again quite quickly!
