Hi everyone, I am a new member, and also relatively new to pet snakes. I got my first Ball Python Last December, and now I have 2 Ball Pythons, 2 Corn Snakes, and a yearling Boa. I think that is my cut off point. I am not a breeder, or a weird hoarder, I do think they make great pets, with their own distinct personalities.

Thanks, he actually looks better now, he was a tad under fed when I first got him, (eating 2 fuzzies a week, same as my corns who are about 1/3 his size) And he just shed, and a perfect shed always makes me happy, though I have yet to experience a poor one.

Hello, and Thank you,I have one more picture that I forgot to add, they are all basically normal, and easy to come by snakes, with little or no interest to breeders or collectors, but they are special to me, and they are family so  I think I'll keep them around.

Even I had to talk my wife into the Boa. When I got him home, she fell in love with him immediately. As for my mom who lives about 1200 miles from me, I had to tell her that none of my snakes were poisonous.

When my mom found out I was keeping snakes, her first question was "They're not poisonous are they?!?" I said "I"m not stupid am I?!?"

When i got ill last week the first thing the mother in law said was that i must be allergic to the snakes - funny how this "parent opinion" seems to be global!!!

The hoarder bit was in reference ,(I guess I should have clarified) to what some people say when I tell them that I have 5 snakes. "I see people like you on the news" or "Maybe you have a problem" things along those lines.

At any rate, there are several more snakes that I'd like to have, but I know I just don't have the money or time for them all. And I really don't want to raise my own rodent's, we have had pet rats in the past . P U !
