Went to the reptile shop today - got to cuddle with a (hope this is right!) Dwarf Reticulated Tiger Python??
LOVELY snake - looked from a distance as if its covered in velvety hairs as the colours kinda ripple. Even got the wife interested in extending the limit she has imposed of no snakes over 7ft in the house!!
Might have to take her over for some more visits............:):)

Ah yes, reticulateds are such beautiful snakes. They are so glossy and smooth, and those patterns...wow, love them. My big girl is a super dwarf and she's almost 9 feet. Dwarfs can get up to 15, but man they are pretty and even at that length they are not particularly heavy-bodied snakes so they won't be as massive overall as Burmese pythons of the same length. The best part is that they are now developing dwarf and superdwarf color morphs, although they'll cost you a pretty penny. I really hope you can convince the wife to at least let you get a superdwarf. They are very intelligent and full of "snake-onality" (snake personality)! I adore my Baby and would be devastated if anything ever happened to her. Only thing you have to watch out for is the feeding response- 'tics want to eat, all the time, but can be very docile once they know food is not coming.

depends on the bloodline. my dwarfs mother is under 8 feet and shes like 6-7 years old, the father was 6 and a half, the breeder i got it from his strain on super dwarf were like 5-6 feet, their are better strains than others for sure. to bad at a pet shop you cant see the parents yourself like i got to or you would have a more acurate idea of what your really getting and not end up with that 15 foot dwarf due to a bad dwarf strain or even a sales ploy.

We know the guy that owns the shop well enough for him to get the full details of the parents it we needed to. Am gonna keep working on the wife and see if she will up the limit a little at least!!
Willow -this one was a beauty - "happy" to come out the viv for a cuddle and although wrapped around my arm not squeezing at all - would guess it was currently about 4-5ft long.

Gl, im so gald i got mine, shes great.
their scales are so tight it feels so soft, dont you think?
I love a Retics, dwarf tigers are pretty rare where i live, infact i never seen a place in canada selling dwarf tigers, if i did before the laws changed i would have snatched one up for a future breeding to my little girl.

They are great snakes but don't forget to get a "dwarf tiger" you need to cross the dwarf locales with the mainland mutations. When you look into getting one Rob ask about how far this has been bred into the dwarfs.

Good point Aaron! Dwarf morphs will end up being larger than regular normal pattern dwarfs for that reason I'd imagine.
