Out of respect for American service men and women serving in our nations armed forces I personally want to say thank you for all you do. You are all that stands between us and the crazies. Those of you whom have given the ultimate sacrifice, and your families, you will NEVER be forgotten. Randyrhodes, I saw your signature, this thread is dedicated to Him and all the rest whom have given it all.

Was not incinuating that american troops are of higher priority, just my perspective. Since I am American, and one of my children is a marine whom has done a tour of duty in Iraq, the perspective of American troops is the only one I HAVE. Edit this too if you want to. I really don't give a damn. Censorship annoys me.

I don't think he was trying to imply anything about the hierarchy of any armed forces, just that anyone willing to put their life on the line deserves their share of respect including your son and anyone over in Afghanistan, Iraq, or anywhere else in the world.

Ialso didnt read any criticism in Wayne's response. Anyone prepared to put their life on the line for the sake of others is worthy of our respect and admiration - Armed Forces, Police, Fire Brigade - you name it they deserve it.

Exactly, I appreciate all who lay it on the line for freedom.

I come from a long line of service people in my family. My uncle was stationed in Pearl Harbor when the bombs were dropped, Dad and stepfather were both in Nam, My other uncle (who is of the Wallace clan descent) was buried with a 21 gun salute.

When 9-11 happened it was overwhelming the number of countries that stepped up to the plate.

To me each and every person who is fighting terrorism in any capacity deserves the highest honor and appreciation by all of us.

Oppression and tyranny have no place in our society today.

You are right, they do deserve it, and we don't say it enough.

Army Cpl. Charles P. Gaffney Jr. - Honor The Fallen - Honoring those who fought and died in Iraq and Afghanistan - MilitaryTimes.com (http://militarytimes.com/valor/army-cpl-charles-p-gaffney-jr/3884758/)

This was my good friend who literally saved my life and turned me around. We got split up on our way there but by a weird twist of fate I saw him in a random place and got to say goodbye one last time before he was killed. Screw his ****bag wife laticia who constantly dodged his divorce papers and ripped him off so the REAL love
of his life RACHEL GAFFNEY (who the papers will never even mention)could never get married. She ended up with nothing but an engraved pen from him and heartache. We all had to chip in just to get her a memorial flag.

This was my Platoon SGT. He had served several tours in several countries, was on his way to west point to live out the rest of his career safe and we were weeks out from returning home when he got killed. Though generally disliked and not very fair he gave all for us and my heart goes out to his family.
