so, i was browsing the web today looking at all sorts of things when i find some guy talking about a tank he has that is 8'x2'x2' and has a glass divider to make two 4'x2'x2'tanks that are joined. it has sliding glass front doors and glass and screen tops for mounting lights, heating units, what have you. and i realized that this would be a much nicer way to house my two snakes, (being that they are both in 50 gallon terrariums atm). the problem is he didnt state where he got this tank or the name of the company that made it. so i was wondering if this kinda set up sounds familiar to you folks? if so do you know how much they cost, and if you can use uth's with them? any advice or input is greatly appreciated.
(btw snakes are a ~24" female normal ball, and ~20" dumerils boa)

most folk over here usually make tanks like that themselves as far as i know.ive never seen any sold with partitions in the middle.as said i think most folk just but a 6x2x2 then make a partition for it themselves.sorry ive not been much help.maybe over your way they get sold that way.all the best in your hunt for your new tank.
cheers shaun

Damn i wish my memory was better - looking online the other night i found somewhere that sells viv's in sections that you can join together at whatever length you wanted. They had ones with a solid end and then the other end was a glass partition that you could leave in or remove and then put another section on the end.

i was considering the option of building my own tank, but atm i dont really have the time or equipment to make them.
and that sounds pretty cool have cages you can take apart to move them etc;
i found something kinda similar on my local craigslist but idk if you can take it apart.. that'd be pretty sick.

Well my short term memory may be crap but my long term memory is better!! The viv's i was talking about are from homes4reptiles.com - htey look pretty neat and prices arent too bad either.
