i'm a grandad again...!!

i wanted to share some really good news with you all.today sunday the18th of april at 7:02pm,my daughter had her first child and my 3rd grandchild.a boy,8lb 6oz,length 56.5cm.his name is jay.mother and baby are doing great.they are getting home at midnight tonight.my daughter and her husband moved back into our house 2 days ago.just for the comfort and security of being with her mum and dad at such an important time.they plan on staying with us for a while.which is great news for my wife and i,as we get to see our grandson grow up for the first few months.my son and his wife did the same last year when my first grankids were born,they had twins a boy called jack and a girl called lilly.they stayed with us till the kids were 7 month old.it was a great experience watching my grandkids develop,especially with it being twins.i'm so excited and just had to share my good news with friends.so now thats been done,i'm away to build the moses basket and get things ready for their arrival in a couple of hours time.i'm so excited folks...!! :freakedout:

many thanks my friends for all your kind comments.i'll try get pic's up soon.mother and baby are doing fine.they have moved in with my wife and i until the babys a bit older so i'm chuffed to bits.

lankyrob,its pretty much like holding your own baby when you hold a granchild.with the bonus you can hand them back if they go off on one.

dont know about you wayne but becoming a grandad made me feel quite old.i think i had to give into the fact that i was just a mere mortal like everyone else and getting old.....!!!
