I've tried to reply to another thread but my posts never show up....Is there a delay?
Anyways my name is Sam I just finished a PhD in biology and now I work for Animal Planet. I work with a lot of people who have lots of lizards so I'm joining to get some more information!
When I was kid I had newts, they were so cute....what I really wanted were geckos though, but my parents didn't understand the obsession so I had to stick with the newts.
Now I have 3 cats, and I'm not really home enough to have more than that, but someday!
I tried to attach a photo but that doesn't work either....
Nice to meet you all!

Yes there is a delay for new members.

Here is the reason, just today I had to delete 7 posts and ban a user for attempting to sell knock off Chinese tennis shoes.

So whenever a new member signs up and posts, the text has to clear either myself or Jason (Boots) prior to appearing on the board.

After you have posted one more time, the rest will all clear automatically to the board.

enjoy the forums!

HAHAhAha I guess the snakes forum is the place to really corner the market!
Thanks for the welcome! you guys are friendly, not all forums are in my experience!
For Animal Planet I am working as a researcher for a new documentary series. It's very interesting, so much fun, and I talk to the most interesting people on the phone all day long. Much more fun than grad school where I studied fruit flies....all day every day.....
