I wanted to post some pictures of Sunset, my high-yellow designer GTP. She is pretty tame, although she has her moments! Doesn't matter; she is pretty enough to get away with a few mood swings...lol. She has the neatest black pattern down her back, which almost looks like barbed wire...very thin wire, but it's neat.
Enjoy!

Very nice looking. How old and how big is she?
Beauty. Is she finished her colour change? I like the "barbed wire" pattern, lol. What locale is she, or are "designer GTPs" crosses?

She is 3. Not sure of her lineage- I have to ask the seller. I meant to do so when he brought her, but he got here late and we were all tired..lol. The pictures really don't do her justice.

Also you can't really see all the yellow on her when she's coiled. She has a lot up her sides and a neat olive/minty green color. She is much lighter than my other two.
Feebo, I personally don't think GTPs deserve the nasty reputation they have. The problem is that a lot of people expect them to be nasty and don't bother to work with them, but my 3 are living proof that they can become tame. Every one of my arboreals is docile and perfectly handleable.

Actually, I had a bit wrong- she is 5 years old, and has remained stable in her coloring for 3. She is finished with her change, and I am her 5th owner. The seller was not entirely sure of her lineage, but she must have some Biak blood in her with all the color blotching on her sides and neck...I have to get a picture of her neck- it almost looks like a map with all the yellow blotches. She's funny though- when I pick up her perch I have to be quick because she launches herself off it and will fall on the floor if I'm not ready for it. Silly girl. She is not at all aggressive though. I have a male Biak who has quite a bit of yellow and blue in him, so I am excited about the babies they will produce when I pair them next season. :) I am hoping for some very high yellow offspring, although I know you can never tell with chondros.
