Welcome to the club percey you got some super sweet snakes.What's kind is the second and second to the last? I really like the big guy in the first and last pics.

Cheers mate, the big guy is still a young olive he is just coming up on a year old and is about 2.5m long. He is a favourite round here as he has never bitten or even looked like wanting to try. The second snake is another yearling and is an australian scrub python, she is slightly longer than the olive but no where near as heavy. The third is an australian copperhead and he is just an absolute pig who always wants some food. The second last one is a female king brown or mulga snake and is the newest member of the family here.

That BRB is maybe 4.5"? I've got 3 of them and she's the baby. The spider is an Avicularia versicolor (Antilles Pinktoe)

I found when one of my snake act aggressive if i give them a litte shot (spray) with the misting bottle they settle right down. Seem to have to do it more an more with my big Jungle Carpet. Getting moody in her old age. Just turn 10 years old.

this is moneypenny, its her first pinky rat ever :) brabbed it off the tong whle sitting on the perch as well, i think it might just be the best picture i ever took :) i ran down the stairs so fast i almost fell, grabbed the camera and almost fell up the stair on the way back up to get this shot LOL

Wish i knew i need to get it sexed. I am thinking a male. Has very visable spurts. Wish i knew how to pop them. Watch a couple videos on it but haven't try it afaird i hurt them. After getting my Diamond x jungle i started asking for what sex i wanted when ordering.

I couldn`t choose between these two almost identical pictures so I`ll post both lol One shows the pattern on her head a bit better. Her name is Mrs Norman, she was the mate of a Coastal Carpet called Norman with the guy I bought her off, I like the unusual so I kept the name :) I think it`s quite cute anyway. She`s 100% Coastal but quite small. She`s 8ft and has hardly grown a bit in years apparently. I love her to bits! She`s going to breed with my Jungle Jag Arni soon, now those will be some sweet babies! Anyways, here she is....

chuck,its nuts the way cameras pick up snakes colours

you would never think it was the same snake in the first 2 pictures

the first looks like a sweet ivory jungle and the second looks like a sweet diamond x jungle

your diamond jungle has come on a good bit since i last saw pics of it

its going to make some very nice diamond jungle jags once you get hold of a nice male jag or even a jungle jag

i would love to have it in my collection mate

No that's my other blue snake. the first 4 pics are the same fella eating.

He's an Axanthic Radix, Axanthic removes the yellow from the green leaving blue.

Thanks again Chuck. Wayne contacted me, and funny thing there are things you can do with a camera other than point at what you want to take the picture of and push the button. There's these things called macro settings.....:crazy2: Not sure what they do, but I turned them on and took these at dinner time.

Now you know about macro, get that camera right up close.

Macro is just a funny name for "close up and in focus"

That's how I do my face shots, I'm only holding the camera about six inches away from the snake.

Agreed! My girlfriend and I have decided that he looks so cute and innocent because you cannot see his pupil or iris; his eyes are just black (unless viewed in the correct light)! It makes him look like a puppy dog!

Our JCP on the other hand, looks quite evil (but we like that)!

Here's our take on how our snakes look (their faces):

BP == a puppy
Cali King == a skeleton
BRB == a doe (female deer)
Bloodred anery Corn == a raccoon
JCP == a dragon

Best thing to do is just take pics until the battery dies, charge it and empty the card to your PC, then do it again, then again and after a while, you will start taking pics that make people drool.

Like everything else, practice and more practice.

My BRB has started her shed cycle, so she decided to take a bath. She's extremely dull at the moment, yet her iridescence still shines (2nd pic). Our corn just got done shedding as well. We only have 6 snakes, but I think at least one snake is in shed every week.

I'm guessing you have multiple snakes shed each week Wayne? (Same with Kim, Freebody, Shaun, and some of the others with 20+ snakes....I'm assuming.)
