These guys aren't around to much anymore but I hope to change that. I have seen alot of breeding activity between them but no hook ups yet as far as I know. I'm planning on importing some animals from Europe and another pair of True Indians are on the list so I can have 2 lines and unrelated offspring. I kept an eye on this pair for YEARS before their owner finally decided to let them go! The females in shed so I'll get some new pics soon. The flash seems to wash out their color, they are a dark mustard color. The females in shed, new pics to come!!! Oh...BTW both are off feed!

Very pretty cobras! I love cobras but will probably never keep venomous snakes myself. I love their hoods--so amazing!

Vry nice naja naja's, good luck breeding those two and with the other two as well when you get them. I would love to keep these snakes as it would be interesting to see if constant interaction would stop some of the flaring and all the bluff.

You hit the nail on the head. Constant interaction does stop the flaring and bluff. I have to work really hard to get these guys to hood up for pics! The female is due to shed within the next week so I'll get some new pics up. These guys are yellow/gold. I love em! Thanks for the comments!!!

AH thank you for the answer. I always thought you could calm them completely, but i have a few friends who lived over there and kept these, said they were always angry. I guess its still luck of the draw but as with all snakes with lots of work and lots of patience you will have a fairly placid friend

Umm...maybe they just weren't settled in good yet. As soon as I pull the hide up now they hood. They aren't very aggressive and are easy to work with but they still attempt to show me who's boss. Here's some new photo's:

Yeah i dont know how often they were handled or anything. I was only showed some photo's, they were both bought as adults so its hard to teach an old snake new tricks lol.
Great snakes im so so so jealous you are very lucky to have a pair like that

Thanks everyone, I hope to get some little ones out of them. If I do, I can export!!! :-)

Out of curisosity, how do export permits work with venomous snakes? Would you also need an import permit on the receiving end? (again, just curious...I don't think the boyfriend would appreciate cobras very much haha)

You couldn't legally obtain venomous snakes I think anyways Siz. You're in the GTA and the by-laws say it's a no-no. Transporting them across the boarder and trying to get them past customs would be interesting. I had some issues trying to import some ball pythons! I can't imagine what it would take to get it done legally for cobras.

lol what about the kawarthas area? i havent read much on by-laws at all, this is all hypothetical of course, i have nowhere near the experience needed to keep hots, but i find it interesting

I'm actually not in the GTA, I am outside it...Peterborough! Just wondering, is all ;) I'm not sure on our bylaws regarding venomous snakes but I'm not interested in owning them anyway, haha. Come to think of it, I *believe* our only reptile bylaw is to register larger pythons and boas.. I'll look into it, I'm curious now.
Bylaws certainly don't stop people in the GTA from owning venomous snakes unfortunatley...

So Aaron, are venomous snakes supposed to be against Toronto/GTA bylaws altogether?
