So I've been talking with Kimberly a lot (not recently unfortunatly) and been getting great tips and insight on how to care for and keep a burm (thanks a LOT Kimberly).
Now that I've got a good picture of what needs to be done in the next year or two before I make a purchase, I've been biding my time researching and learning more up until recently when I decided to take a break from the learning and have some fun and in trying to decide on different names. I know you have to name your pet by how they act/look but I've still got the right to plan ahead :D The three I've come up with are; Brutus, Socrates, and Samson. What do you all think?
My personal favorite is Socrates simply because it's not a normal name, let alone normal for a snake. :)

Actaully it sounds kind of cool. Just because it not the kind of name that makes you think big and bad. Which burms are big and bad as-

I use to have 4 of them before i got out of the big boys. All named after Wrestlers. Big Van Vader, Undertaker, Sid Vicious, and Doctor Death. Also had a ball named the Crippler.

Hi Rham! Sorry I haven't been on lately- I've had a rough couple of weeks. I like Samson the best! But Socrates is really cool too.

Well, I had thought through a few wrestler names at one point, I decided I wanted something not so steriotypical of a burm. Brutus and Socrates are just fun names, but they are steriotypical I think. That's why Socrates stood out to me. If I tell someone I have a large python, they're gonna thinktuats cool, but if I tell them I have a large python that's named Socrates it's twice as good. :D
if you think about it Socrates isstill befitting; philosophers sat around thinking all day, burns are lethargic and lazy, giving the impression that perhaps they are thinking deeply as well. :P

Lol. Yeah they are all good names. You'll know once you get your snake. I've had names picked out before and once I got the animal completely changed them because they just didn't fit the animal like I thought they would.

Bob. The human name approach always has some comedic value to it when you tell your friends. Tinkerbell if you get a girl..

if... wait, WHEN i get a ball python, aka Royal python i am for sure naming it Charles (male) or Elizabeth (female). GET IT? GET IT? ROYAL? PRINCE CHARLES???... oh wow im lame... anywho i like the human approach as well, nothing better than when somebody expects a bada$$ name for a huge snake at they get Joe, Bill, or if you really wanna be funny, Princess lol :P. not sure if many humans have the name princess but its a title worth giving to a burm :D

Snowflake or Einstein are better "shock value" names.

Meh, snowflake would be a better name for an albino, which I'm not getting. Just too bright for me.

Names of my snakes -
Sunder (had a burnt orange color - was a male normal bp
Naga (indian word for 1/2 woman, half snake goddesses - normal female bp)
Manic (named for his vibrant yellow color - pastel bp)
Saleen (named for the Saleen S7 - google it! she's a yellow anaconda)
Orinoco (named for the river valley - also a yellow anaconda)
Honestly, I never plan on a name until I meet the snake
