hi everyone

i wrote an introduction on here earlier but it is not showing up, (not sure if it has anything to do with me having to wait till i am allowed to post) so anyway i will introduce myself again just in case.
my name is jay and i live in n.s.w australia, i am planning on getting an inland carpet in the next few weeks and i am at the moment just getting some ideas for an enclosure, the carpet is a yearling and has been feeding for a while, it has been handled a fair bit to get it use to this, my main concerns are with handling, i want a really docile snake that can be handled often so not sure about frequency of handling and handling techniques, i have read a bit on here and will continue to do so as there is so much info, a very good forum and i look forward to speaking with you at some stage , any ideas or thoughts that will make my introduction a little easier is much appreciated

cheers

jay

Hello and welcome! (Infernalis what no mat?) As far as handling I have a Jungle that i can get out anytime and she love being handle. Actually all my snakes are like that. Guess i am lucky. I think you should handle at least 2 to 3 times a week. If the snake is aggresive i handle them less until they get use to it. Even the most friendliest snake can have a bad day. They will let you know if they don't want to be mess with. The key is learning to read your snake. This just takes time. Well best of luck and we want to see pic when you get it.
