Okay so I wasnt sure where to put this. OKay well big question. Okay it might be stupid. But I really want to know which snake is bigger the boa or Python? How are they different? Is the boa longer and the python larger in weight? Sorry I ask so many random questions:eek:

I am not entirely sure, but I think Anacondas are a boa species.

Retics and Burms are python species.

Both command respect.

If you look in the records there is a lot of controversy over which snake holds the world's record for massive size. The dimensions that have earned the anaconda the title of king is its total body mass or its weight (the sheer physical bulk of it). The other snake that competes with the anaconda is the Asiatic Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus). The python holds the world's record for length of a snake, with the longest ever measured at 33 feet. Even though the longest python is longer than the record-holding anaconda, the girth of the anaconda is far bigger. Anacondas in the jungles of South America can grow as big around as a grown man! "

There are four different species of Anacondas.
Class: Reptila.
Order: Squamata.
Suborder: Serpentes.
Family: Boidae.
Subfamily: Boinae.
Genus: Eunectes.
Species: E. beniensis for the Bolivian Anaconda,
deschauenseeei for the Dark Spotted Anaconda,
murinus for the Green Anaconda,
notaeus for the Yellow Anaconda.
These snakes can reach tremendous sizes and weights, but stories of them killing livestock and even elephants are surely myths. A reward of 50 thousand dollars for the delivery of any living snake that is more than 30 feet long has been offered by the Wildlife Conservation Society for many years and has prompted serious searches for such a monster. No takers of the prize to date, but the rumors continue to surface from the jungles that they are out there.

Yes Anacondas are boids:)

The reticulated python is the longest snake in the world, but the green anaconda (boa) is the largest overall, due to its much heavier build. Boas give live birth and pythons lay eggs.
