We found "Aqua" in a real bad way, brought him home, and he has been an interesting captive.

I honestly and truly believe that he is "developmentally disabled" by observing his behavior.

We got him on pinks, but he has to be fed and that takes some patience, he strikes at the air and misses the pink by some distance, I have watched him in his water bowl pursuing a minnow for the longest time.

When we first found him, he had crawled up under a rock in the middle of a small VERY COLD freshwater spring source.

The icy cold water put the snake into brumation (another word for hibernation) even though it was 70 degrees (F) outside.

Had my daughter not flipped that rock over looking for newts, he would have most likely froze to death when winter set in. (He didn't move at all for most of the trip home, as he warmed up he started moving)

Aqua has been with us 3 years now.

Care is easy, large water bowl, a hide, substrate and ambient tank temps around 75 degrees.

The belly patterns are striking!

My jungle will strike and miss repeatly if i give her a all white rat. They have to have some black on them, or she will strike over and over and just keep missing.

Spend a day with Aqua, and you would see what I mean, he's a fruit.
