Nice! All of my snakes are in my bed room. My wife got tired of them in the living room. I have a room in the basement i am going to fix up and turn into a snake room.

During breeding season, we have snakes in almost every room of the house at times.
I am lucky, Dorothy likes them as much as I do.

very nice and such a diverse collection,i am so jealous of all the space you have.i have all my vivs in the bedroom.i still have 2 of my 4 kids living at home so there are no spare rooms.once my next kid leaves to follow his own path in life my wife wants his room for when our grankids visit.so it looks like i'll have a long wait on my youngest leaving as he's only 9 years old at the minute.
cheers shaun

We got lucky, when I got this house it had 2 livingrooms, so we put all the reptiles in the "extra" living room.
it's 12x12 foot in there.

Very cool. Does it look anything like this now or have you changed it a lot since then?

Spent almost the whole day yesterday tearing down and moving / cleaning.
Decided to put my Corn snake in that recently acquired 55 gallon, he made use of the extra space right away.
So I moved the racks around, that wall of glass is looking nice.
Last night I did notice that a couple outlets were a bear to get at when unplugging lights, so I'm putting in a switch to make it easier.
will snap a quick photo in a little bit.

The bigger snakes are still in the same cages as before. Our corn really likes his 55 gallon upgrade.
This is the south facing wall, each enclosure labeled. The sack is rat feed.
We abandoned the jungle mural until I can paint the whole room, the wallpaper is yellowing. We also want to replace the carpet with linoleum. I putter with this as time & money permits.

Center 2 tanks - garter snakes

Try not to laugh at my table, I put it together entirely of scraps and legs from a school desk. It's strong and holds up that big heavy cage and that's what I needed it to do.

I have a cart in the basement that will hold another pair of tanks, I'm going to set that up along the empty spot here..
Look close at the outlet, go unplug all those electric air fresheners, throw them out now, before they go up in smoke on you too. That happened back when mom owned the house, her scnauzer kept crapping in there, so she bought one of those glade plug ins, one day it went up in smoke.

A corner table I made, this one has LED lighting, I left the flash off on purpose.

Good looking snake room Wayne. I personally really like the school desk table, as long as its functional thats all that matters. And it looks pretty cool with the school desk legs.

When I get done with the upgraded digs I promise I will flaunt it bad.
Right now it's a very rudimentary box, it looks awful and its starting to bow out from lack of planning on my part.
The new one has concrete for a floor and side walls.

Don't know if anyone noticed, I use wood tops on the big tanks to keep the humidity decent. I drill air vents in the wood, and it winds up cheaper than those crappy screen tops as well.
My big Pueblan is a master escape artist so his top is bolted down, I have to remove 2 bolts to feed him, but he can't get out.

So I have this streak of ambition and boredom, decided to get this cart thing over with, now all I need to do is cut a plywood floor for the bottom and install an under counter light below the top deck.
For feedings, I can roll the cart into the middle of the room and go to work. The spaces under the floors are great for storing things like meds, extra water bowls, stuff like that.
They are all garter snakes. Babies and yearlings.

the ones in the bottom right are about 3 months old, 4 inches to 5 inches long.
The baby Infernalis' in the bottom left are a month older, the female is already about 10 inches. She's going to be a big girl.
The little Mexican garter snake is getting thick, she will be on pinkies soon.
The snakes in the top tanks all eat pinkies now.

Cool setup wayne! I should post pics of my stuff soon.
I saw the tiniest ever baby garter snake at the Hamburg expo today. And I mean the thing looked like a mealworm.

The water snake does that when he wants food.
Dekayi are those little brown snakes people find in flower gardens, not related to garters. (well maybe a little bit, both are Natricine Snake species) Garter snakes, red bellies, brown snakes and water snakes are all of that category.

Well fudge....
So I got another 4 foot tank given to me, and there was 2 shelfing racks out in the barn that are 4 foot long... Perfect.
Except that the leaky old half fallen down barn has allowed them to warp and become weak.
Useless!!
So I'm putting in another Gorilla rack to stack cages on.

Thanks.. always work in progress.
So I put in the recently acquired 55 gallon tanks, and came up with this...
The wood is just sitting there until I clear out all the construction materials.
