Wow- he's very handsome. Looks pretty friendly too. I had a rough scale sand boa for a while, and he was mean, mean, mean.

Thx hon. I am quite proud. You know, I read about the temperaments on all the erycines once, and the Saharan is described as "extremely docile", and that he is. Rough scaled are pretty though.

Btw, Wolfus, what kind of snake are you holding in your pic - I have terrible eyes?

That is wolfus, my 6.5 year old ball python, lovely temperament, he's never once tried to bite me!

Traci, Yes! he is 3 feet 11 inches.
he's so tame, I got him when he was about 6 years old and I have never had a problem with him. He has never tried to strike at me ever, which is pretty nice. The only issue I have ever had with him is he stopped eating for 11.5 months (there's a thread on here somewhere that has everybody's help, they were all wonderful giving me suggestions), it got pretty stressful for both him and I, I'm sure but he's been eating regularly ever since.

Thx Teague and Lil Boa! It's so funny...I am a flight attendant, and everytime I get home from a trip, I just can't wait to get home and cuddle up with him :-)

Hey Kendra,
I accidentally asked you about Creative in Kyle's new cage thread. Wow, 11.5 months..that's crazy...I bet you were so worry...I get stressed when Nicolai(sand boa) doesn't eat for 2 months or so. Was he a rescue? I am so glad it all worked out, and gosh, when BP's look into my eyes, I just melt.

Btw, little Boa, my saharan is pretty calm when I get him out, but he is just one of the most solitary snakes I have every encountered. He is wonderful when he's out, but I think he just wishes I was a big pile of sand, as he just tries to burrow into arms, hand, etc. He really is adorable, but when he gets back into his tank, he surely wastes no time getting back under his substrate.

I was worried and totally freaking out for the first little bit but tons of people on this forum helped me get through his stubborn not eating phase. Nope he wasn't a rescue. I got him just over a year ago from a lady who had to move for her job and couldn't keep him.
