You knew this was coming =D I bought more Rhacs, three on the CRBE weekend, one a while before but I haven't shown him off yet, heh heh.
Well here they are....the pictures aren't the best, just took some quick shots, I'll set 'em up for a photoshoot soon!

This girl I got from Mark Orfus at Northern Gecko. Fantastic breeder. This girl is just gorgeous and she is a sweetheart to boot. Didn't fire up for me until she went back into her Exo...typical! haha. but I do have a crappy shot of her the day I picked her up where she is mostly fired. She is a harlequin with almost full pinstriping, and some nice crest structure.

This is a nice one...a male I got from The Wanted Reptile on the CRBE weekend. Harlequin with almost 100% pinning! I love his dorsal, it's almost solid! I'm going to pair him with the girl above.

I got this boy a couple months back but haven't shown him off yet, lol. He's a nice tiger dalmatian with reverse pinning. He has some white tipped crests, lots of black spots and a few red ones. I love love love this gecko. He's pretty jumpy but I'm working on him!

Last, but DEFINATLEY not least.....MY LEACHIANUS!! Super stoked on this gecko! It's an unsexed island cross, Nu Ana X Nu Ami. I got this from Reg @ the Wanted Reptile as well, but it was bred by Northern Gecko and is originally from Repashy stock. It's doing really well so far, eating and exploring. I am so in love with this leachie. crappy pics because I didn't want to bug her too much. If anyone has a name for it, I'm open to suggestions. =)

Now, all I need are R. auriculatus (gargoyle geckos) and R. sarasinorum, and I have all the available Rhac geckos :D

Lemon's a good name. Also, maybe Golddust or Goldie. She looks to be golden-colored in the photos.

They're so cute with their big buggy eyes! and they're mouths look like they're smirking. haha. I've never touched a gecko before.. How do they feel like? they look really rough and prickly.. and I also didn't know they changed colour 'til I was looking at your pictures just now. Are they like chameleons? I mean change colour to blend in with their environment or do they just change shades? like maybe from a light dull yellow to a dark orangey colour or green?

Call her blackie. The looks on people's faces would be priceless when you told them a bright yellow crestie was named "Blackie". In fact I may use it as the name for my super pastel ball python.

They are super soft! Like, velvety almost. I was surprised when I first held one how soft they are. Their feet are a little sticky, but it's not gooey sticky, they have tiny, tiny hairs on the bottom of their feet that find equally tiny imperfections on surfaces they are climbing, which is what allows them to stick to walls and glass.
They don't change colour like chameleons do. Well, sort of. Chams don't really change their colour to blend in with their enviroment so much, it's more of a mood thing (similar to geckos), but they have a much wider range of colours than most crested geckos and over all it is a bit different. Cresteds "fire up" and "fire down". I find that when they are pale(fired down), they are sleeping or calm, and when they darken (fire up) they are excited, hunting, breeding, etc..I find they fire up best when they are in a nice humid enviroment that has just been misted, or late at night, or just after you put them away from a photoshoot....hahaha.
I can post some more fired/unfired pics if you'd like, and if I can get some good shots. I think the change is really neat.
I love Rhacodactylus geckos (..obviously..lol). I think they make fantastic pets as far as reptiles go, they are generally very calm, easy to take care of, etc.

[EDIT TO ADD: also, it's normally just the base colour that changes. See the first gecko, how she is almost lavender and then she turns dark brown? that is her base colour, the "accent" colours don't normally change much in Harlequin cresteds. It depends on the morph though]

Haha, Blackie. I kinda like that. I think I'm naming the female Hookah, and the male Kush though..haha. If I ever get a BEL or ivory BP, I'd name it Blackie :P

Fluffy is a perfect name for a scorpion. Just like my snakes names are "snake." I never have to remember any of them really.

LOL! I like your sense of humor Aaron! I have a dwarf retic named "Baby". I also agree that "Fluffy" is a great name for a scorpion, also for a snake.
