Hello and welcome. BPs (ball pythons) are great beginner snakes. How do you have her set up currently? The biggest things to keep in mind with BPs or any other snake for that matter are to have a thermal gradient in the cage so that the snake can freely regulate its own body temperature (for BPs a basking spot of 90-94, and a cool end of 82-85 during the day and around 78-80 at night is what I've found works best for mine) and humidity regulation (BPs like around 50-60% and higher when in shed). You can mist the cage, provide a fogger, or a damp hide box (line a plastic box or flower pot with moss and keep it moist). Also make sure you have a water bowl large enough for the snake to curl up in. Other than that, enjoy. BPs tend to be very docile, personable snakes and they are so cute as babies too!

Hey Willow! Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. Yeah I have my tank set up with all the right temps and found out just today about the humidity :s But I'm on that lol. Ive seen some of your pics and I love the variety you have, all very beautiful. I am slightly nervous about all the little things she does and freak out every time I notice something different haha. But thats why I joined this site :)

Don't worry about being nervous. I've been keeping snakes for years, but I still get freaked every time one breathes loudly or has a loose poop, and I watch the snake like a hawk until I'm sure it's ok. If you have any questions or concerns that pop up, there are tons of very knowledgeable people on here, and a search of past posts can often solve a problem without opening yourself up to criticism. Best of luck, and post pics of your new "baby" if you get to it!
