All the female boas pictured here are 100%het for albino(Kahl Strain)This pic is of the last of the hets to ovulate, she Ovulated on the first of November ,and with any luck will go on to have her first litter of offspring sometime early this spring.

This is the second of the hets ,she Ovulated on October 13th and is starting to show the signs of being gravid now, allthough she will still eat from time to time..she will now not constrict the rodent at all..quite a change from the pre gestative state.

And last but not least..this little girl ovulated on the 27th of September and is well on her way..hopefully some baby albinos and hets early in the new year.

Thanks everyone!...I can't wait to see the results either..I'm just hopeing they all don't pill out on me..LOL..that would not be good.

Lisa,When a female boa Ovulates it is usually unmistakeable, allthough sometimes it can be slight and hard to notice, thats usually not the case. You will see a large mid body swelling slightly lower than where the food item would be after a meal,This swelling usually subsides within days..but sometimes within hours...but if you check your animals on a regular basis you should catch it.

Check out this link in the boa constrictor forum,Big Dan has a pic of his Huge female albino Ovulateing http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7995 Hope this helps a bit.;)

Thanks for the kind words once again guys and gals!..

Cranwill ,Avarage litter size can vary quite a bit,but a snake her size should have between 12-20 young..and she could also slug out as well, thats why it always makes me nervous to start counting baby boas before they are born...right now my bigest concern is the females, making sure they stay healthy and happy!..babys would just be icing on the cake so to speak:D

Jeff F..now thats the kind of company i can deal with year round..lol

clownfishie,..that would indeed be a good belated christmas present.

Darren, best of luck to you as well this year!

Linds, thanks!:D ..hope all is going well with your Rosy project this year.
