St. Jacobs Reptile Expo - October 4th, 2009

It’s that time of year again - time for the Fall St. Jacobs Reptile Expo! The show will take place on Sunday, October 4th at the Woolwich Community Centre on Parkside Drive in St. Jacobs, Ontario. The time, as usual, is from 10am - 4pm with vendor set-up between 8am - 10am. For more information, please click the banner above to visit our website.

Pythons and boas under 6.6 feet (2 metres) in adult length are now permitted in Woolwich County and may once again be sold at the expo.

Unfortunately, I have just discovered that there will be road work on the roundabout that takes traffic into St. Jacobs from Hwy 85 N. The exit to Regional Road 17 (Sawmill Rd.) will be closed for the weekend, so we must now drive through the village to get to the Community Centre on Parkside Drive. The city will hopefully be putting up detour signs with a notice about the expo, but we want to try our best to make sure no one gets lost. The new directions are as follows:
From Niagara, Buffalo:
Take QEW toward Hamilton. Follow QEW exiting Highway 403 Hamilton/Brantford. Take Highway 6 North Guelph and follow for approximately 25 km. At Morriston, take Highway 401 West and follow to Exit #278 Hwy 8 toward Kitchener-Waterloo. Follow Highway 8 then stay right and take far right exit ramp for Waterloo Hwy. 85 N. Follow Waterloo Hwy. 85 North for approx. 12.5 km., then take Exit Road 15. Turn left onto King Street (Road 15) at the lights, then continue on through the village (approx. 3.5 km) and up the hill until you reach Sawmill Road (Road 17) Take a right at Sawmill Road then another right on Parkside Dr. The expo is at the Woolwich Township Community Centre.
From the West on Highway 401 (London, Windsor...):
Exit #278 Hwy 8 toward Kitchener-Waterloo. Follow Highway 8 then stay right and take far right exit ramp for Waterloo Hwy. 85 N. Follow Waterloo Hwy. 85 North for approx. 12.5 km., then take Exit Road 15. Turn left onto King Street (Road 15) at the lights, then continue on through the village (approx. 3.5 km) and up the hill until you reach Sawmill Road (Road 17) Take a right at Sawmill Road then another right on Parkside Dr. The expo is at the Woolwich Township Community Centre.

So, I've been out to St. Jacobs (advertising at the Farmer's Market since 6am) and the road work has started. The city has put up detour signs for us, so please be sure to follow the directions posted above and look for these:
