Hey there, we just got a baby savannah monitor. We named her Hannah!:) Well we got her from pet extreme, a pet store, and bought her everything she needed to be comfortable. But the thing is we've only had her for 3 days but she hasn't ate, drank, and she barely moves. It seems like she loves being in my hand though.. she won't come off me lol. Well i was looking for some help and info on what i should do to make her feel more comfortable.
Well first of all, you shouldn't handle your new reptile for at least a week to give it time to settle in.
Can you tell me a bit about her setup? What substrate is she on? Is her cage all screen? Do you know temperatures? What are you using for heat? What are you using to measure the temperatures and humidity? What have you been trying to feed her? Do you have a hide in the tank? There should be somewhere they can retreat to.
Our sav was extremely shy when we first got it. It wouldn't eat or drink in front of us and hid almost all the time. It's been about two months I believe, and it's starting to calm down a bit and it eats and drinks in front of us no problem. We gave it plently of time to settle in though and it is younger than yours.
yup care info is needed to help at all... And for sure at least a week before handling if at all possible...

Well my boyfriend bulit her a cage out of wood and pexiglass... we keep her cage around 95 on one side and 80 on the other, we don't have hide for her, we actually didn't know what that was haha. we have been feeding her crickets, and im making her a hard boiled egg right now. She is very shy, but we did put her on a little leash we got her and she seemed so happy to be outside!! she was going everywhere but she knew when to stop after she got used to the leash. Is there anything else i should give her to make her more happy??

Your hot side is too low. A basking spot of at LEAST 110 degrees is needed. Probably higher, but I'm not a monitor kind of guy. A higher heat would increase the activity level and appetite. Also when PROPERLY housed the animal may become more aggressive and no longer lethargic.
