Hello! We found this little guy in my friend's basement a while back and set him free after taking a couple pictures...They're not the greatest, but any idea what he is? He looks like a corn snake to me, but seems kind of unusual coloring for a corn...

He's/She's a King snake I believe.........

He looks kinda similar to this one, which is a normal cornsnake hatchling...

I'm pretty sure that's a cornsnake, with the head shape. I have a kingsnake and the head is not like that at all. I'd go with what JinxtheBP said- looks like a dead ringer to me. Cute little guy anyway.

I think it's an Eastern Milksnake baby.

Aaron S, you may be right! Here's an E. Milksnake hatchling...They look pretty close...These are much more similar, I think. But the one I found was creamy/white, rather than grayish...But I've never seen a corn snake with a gray/white base and red/black saddles like that! I think Aaron S may be on to something :)

All the pictures above are IDed as Eastern Milksnakes.

I am sticking to it. Eastern Milksnake. Widely found and can vary in slight tones upon the "normal" look.
