sand boa questions...

ok so im rearranging my rep room and i want to put my sand boa underneath me leo gecko, my question is that: the heal lamp i use wont fit underneath, so i was going to get a undertank heater thing, would be be fine to use or does the sand boa "need light" that the heat light will provide. i just dont want a dark cage sitting there with no light...

any help will be great, thanks!

would it be okay to sit her that low to the ground because i have two dogs that walk around all the time and dont want to stress her out!

I dont know sand boas, but dont believe its a must for them to have any special lighting. On the dogs thing it would depend do they tend to go sniffing around the tank alot?? If they dont actually mess with the tank, I wouldnt worry to much just my opinion. Is there enough room for a fluorescent type light??

yea,a fluoresent light may just work... BUT if i get a long light, that wont leave a cool side for her. does she really need a cool side??
as for the dogs they just walk by the cage... dont really smell at it.

The fluorescent I use doesnt put any heat out to speak of. It may raise your ambient temp some, but I would doubt much. I would use a UTH to get your heat, and a fluorescent so you dont having a boring dark Viv!!
