View Full Version : Hello all
I am a first time reader and poster. Just recently bought a new one year old Ball Python and named him Juggernaut (also the name of my online alisas). I used to have an 8 foot Jungle Carpet Python but after college I had to move home and my dad has an unhealthy fear of them, so the Pittsburgh Zoo now displays him. Hopefully my new snake will be able to stay with me for a long time to come.

Cool. Balls are great. I have one and he's calm as anything. I also have an adult coastal carpet, he's somewhere around 7 or 8 feet and he's my buddy. He's so curious and wants to be held all the time. That's cool you were able to find a good home for your carpet. My mom is petrified of snakes, so I could never have them growing up. She'd run into the house screaming and crying because she saw a half-foot baby garter snake..lmao. So when I moved out and got a place where I could have one, I did. I hope you'll be able to keep your new baby for a long time too. Post some pics!
Here is my current Python, Jugg:

Beautiful snakes!
Thanks, I miss the old one, he was more awesome than I can describe. I do hope in the future to get another carpet python for sure.

I can imagine- I'd be devastated if anything happened to my big carpet Voodoo. He has the best temperament, and I'd swear almost a personality. He's such a ham- he loves going up my banister. He'll crawl off my shoulders and slowly inchworm up the banister...lol.
