Kingsnake or Ball Python

Suppp ssnakess, I just recently started to get a interested in snakes, and it seems that I'm stuck on two snakes...the cali kingsnake, and a ball python. They both have pros and cons for me atm, and I'm not quite sure which one to get. I've never owned a snake before, but I have owned plenty of invertebrates, bearded dragons, turtles and a columbian tegu. Just wanting your suggestions on which one to get, thanks for the help in advance. Also they will be housed in the 1858 sterilite.
