I am the proud owner of a Red Blood Python.....

I have been around reptiles and such over 20 years now. I am a computer geek by trade, animal lover by heart. My present charge, "Devito". Yes named after the actor cause he's little and bitchy...LOL I will post pics later.

I live in the London, Ontario area and love to chat, so feel free to ask any questions relating to computers or reptiles....:)

See ya in Cyberspace.....

Why are their seemingly TWO heat lights on the tank? Why is there a single hide box? Why is there no humid hide? Why are the gauges at the top of the tank where the snake will never be?

Thank you for the criticism......1 red heat light, 1 basking light. yes the gauges are high, been corrected since this photo was taken. The "rock" to the right is a hide, and humidity is controlled manually by me, since I do work from home and am able to watch him and his conditions..Undertank heating too

P.S. the lights run opposite 12 hour schedules, they were both turned on for the pic...:)

Hope this helps to dispel your fears and issues.

It doesn't dispel anything.

What are your temperatures on the hot side/cool side? Secondly how do you maintain humidity? Lastly, 3 heating units should not be needed. The heating pad should do fine on it's own, hooked upto a rheostat or better yet, a thermostat.

And he needs at least two hides--one on the hot side and one on the cool side so he can feel safe while regulating his temperature.
