I was at Hmbrg this weekend and I have to say Leopard Geckos caught my eye. Was up reading most of the night about them. They seem pretty easy to take care of. The only real question I have is what to feed? They readily take crickets but here is my dilemma. If they need to eat daily or every other day I would like to breed my own food for them, but I live in a townhouse with attached neighbors and assume that the cricket chirping would not be appreciated. So I was wondering what else i could feed them. Read they can eat waxworms but aren't good for them because of fat content. What about roaches? I breed them for my Tarantulas and have a large colony of them established. I know they need gut-loaded and dusted with vitamins. I feed my roaches high-fiber cereal and apples as well as dry dog food. Sorry if long winded just want to get things right the first time. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated thanks in advance.

I've never fed roaches to any animals, but I don't see why they wouldn't be able to eat them. You can feed them mealworms instead of crickets though.

Crickets are good, small roaches are great nutritional sources if you can get the leopards to eat them. I have a colony of discus roaches I used to feed to my frilled lizard, but my leopard geckos won't eat them.
