hello im new to the forum, and i was wondering if anyone had some pics of their carpet pythons cage. I am working on getting a carpet python and just wanted to see from some more experienced owner what their cages looked like thanks.

You are looking for climbs, hides on both hot & cold sides as well as in he middle as well as a waterdish large enough to soak in. Climbs can be dowelings attached to the sides with shower rod holders kind of deal or sterilized bracnhes etc.
For an adult you want at least a 2ft deep by 2ft high by 4 ft long enclosure.
Can be kept in tubs until a year of 2 old of appropriate size of course. Mark

I have my adult in a 50-gallon breeder tank with two climbs and a big water dish. He destroyed his hide and never went in it so he doesn't have it anymore. Definitely 4'x2'x2'- they can be quite active!

He pushed it around and crawled on it and crushed it and squeezed it. It was really bizarre. He had one of those black plastic box ones. He crunched it.

No, he's the most docile snake I've ever had. He is just large and heavy and had it in for that hide. He spends a lot of time in his water dish, and coiled up watching me. He is very social- when I come in the room he will push at his lid as if he's asking to come out.

That is so cute! I love it when you come in and they lay themselves against the glass as if to say "Hi come and see me". Okay they're probably just thermoregulating but I interpret it as attention seeking!

I would swear Voodoo wants attention, and to come out. He pushes on the lid and sways back and forth across the front of the tank and breathes heavily. At first I thought he had an RI but after careful examination and talking with other carpet owners, I realized he just huffs when excited. As soon as I open up his cage when he's in "bring me out" mode, he'll glide right out onto my arm. He reminds me of a big, lumbering, golden retriever with his "personality". He's my big buddy. lol
