Hi everyone my names William i'm 22 and live in Miami,FL. I'm thinking about getting a blue tree monitor but does anyone know if you need a pair? do they get lonely? Any information will help, thanks.

These are beautiful animals; I can see why you want one! Unfortunately, I have been unable to find much on their care, and the little I did find is contradictory. My suggestion is to contact a couple of breeders (not just one) and ask them what the ideal husbandry would be and whether you can keep a pair together. It may be that with a large enough enclosure and with multiple basking spots, you can--or it may not be that way.

Whatever you do, do NOT rely on information you obtain from a pet store--go to a breeder to get GOOD answers & information.

Welcome to the forum William. I don't know much about monitors, but most lizards are just fine, in fact better off, if kept singly.
