Hey all I'm new to the forum. I've had snakes all my life and crossed over to hots five years ago. I have a question does anyone have any info on malayan pit vipers? I got a care sheet but wanted a more personable response. I've been looking at a pair and would like to know more. How are they on hooks, feeding, temperament, etc. Any response would be great.

the care is not to bad, i keep mine with a hot side of around 85 to 88 on the very warm end. they refuse food now and then but are not to picky. mine ride a hook well but can be jump, i have 15 eggs incubating right now so ill get pics when they hatch.

I hate to steer you away from this site, but there is a great right-up on the Maylayans on -venomous reptiles.org-.
One thing you should keep in mind, these snake will lay and wait for days motionless then strike for long distances like when your changing water bowls. For there size they have the longest fangs than any other snake"fang to snake size". Maylayans can sink venom DEEP inside you.
I had a trio of them, two out of the three were layed-back and one was a spring with fangs!
