OOOPPPPS! I clicked on the wrong thing for the title.

It is a male Diamond Python from 2008. I do have a male Granite pic in a thread here somewhere too though, THX Mark

Thought he looked like a diamond..lol. He is gorgeous though- lucky person, whoever got him! I would love a diamond someday, but I've heard they are very difficult to keep and breed...do you find them so?

Not really I'm 3/3 on years attempted for eggs, so yes & no. They don't seem to incubate well for me & I've lost 24 of 30 good fertile eggs this year (worst year yet!). They are not as difficukt as they are made out ot be anyway THX Mark

Ahhh . . . when I first saw the pic, I thought "Diamond," but when I read Granite, I thought, "Oh, I'm mixing up diamonds & granites--after all, Mark knows what he's posting!" Guess I'm going to have to learn to go with my instincts a little more! So it seems you can get them to lay, but getting all the parameters just right for incubation is a bit trickier!

Think I'll try BPs first!

Most snakes I guess aren't as tricky to keep as they are made out to be. I have an etb that is a joy to have. She eats well, although she wouldn't eat for a month when I first got her. She sheds in one perfect piece and is as docile as a ball python. I had been a bit worried because I'd heard how delicate and tough to keep they are...not Esmeralda! :)
