Iggy is a male. He has what are called hemipenes--a pair of *****-like structures.

Here's a link to some fairly detailed information: Boa Constrictor Herpetoculture (http://home.att.net/~crinaustin/BoaHerpetoculture.htm)

and another with a photo: PetClub UK - Sexing Snakes (http://www.petclubuk.com/view/page.do?id=255)

Are you trying to breed them? If not, you should separate them so they don't get too stressed. If the female is not big enough/mature enough for breeding, it could be unhealthy for her at this time, too.

If you are certain of your measurement of Iggy, all I can say is that he didn't read the book that says males can't get that big, so he did it anyway. LOL!!

Yes I am hoping to breed them, but I am new to snakes, I have been breeding beaded dragons for a while now and I need a chalenge lol.

Many thanks for all the Info and links. Haha he is a big boy lol

Good; a prolapsed hemipene is NOT a good thing!

So how big is the female you're hoping to breed?

She is about 8 feet long and a beautifull snake.

Sounds good, then. Have you brumated them? Good luck with it!
