Below is a ad I ripped from kijiji.

Some poor poor uneducated person is gonna buy this (normal x pastel) thinking it is more then it is.
I wonder if the poster is just that uneducated on snake genetics, or is looking to profit from a misconception.
NormalxPastel, = 50% pastel, 50% normal, the normals carry no pastel gene. (yes?)
I just hate ads like this, but laugh at the same time.

Well, if I'm reading McCurley correctly, you've got it. Normal = NN, pastel = Np* (p* is codominant)

Combination will produce 2 NN and 2 Np* (theoretical offspring)

As a codominant, the Np* will be visibly different from the NN. But why would someone want to breed the Np* to a normal (NN)? (even with the very "coool" marking)

Seems to me like you'd want another pastel or a super pastel . . .

We need Mykee or Julian or someone who really knows the genetics to explain to us.

I wonder if they are trying in a badly written way to say it is a pastel not a super form. But who knows I was reading a add today a guy was selling a beautiful normal bp as a 4' burm.

I bet that's it. The super pastel is p* x p*, so they just want people to know the genetics of the one they're selling.

Selling a normal bp as a burm? That's like mixing up a coral snake and a milk snake! sheeeeesh.

I'm also thinking that the person is simply explaining the genetic lineage of the parents. Nowhere did he mention that the animals are pastels, just that one of their parents was. Pastel x normal, as we all know being a co-dominant gene, produces (theoretically) 50% normals and 50% pastels. It is possible that the two animals that he is selling (depending on the price, which wasn't mentioned in the ad) are just bright normals.
EDIT: found the same ad in another forum's classifieds with pics. Nowhere does he mention that they are pastels and the pictures clearly indicate that they are just normal looking normals:

So pastel x normal doesn't mean Np*, just NN? I'm confused. If she's an Np*, she should look different, right? If she's just a normal, how can he be advertising her as a "pastel x normal" in the advert that GoodSmeagol found?
