so if im reading this correctly then no one can have a python or boa that gets longer than 9 feet???? that is not good that seems like a lot of the more common snakes you cant keep!!

3 metres is closer to 10 feet than 9 feet. A metre is slightly over a foot but yes noone can own anything larger than that. In Alberta they named the species you cannot keep. Like burmese pythons and african rock pythons.

Oh wow that sucks.
So if you own one of these larger than 10 feet snakes, do you need to get rid of it or can you keep it and just not get another?

Yeah--what are they going to make you do if you already have one--kill it???
It's called they never have to know about it. If I was there i would breed the hell out of them because big snakes are about to become really really expensive there. There will be a snake black market there for sure.
I mean seriously its not like they are going to follow it like it is drugs or something. I know a couple people that rent appartments that have dozens of snakes that the owners never know about and many of them are at least 7-8 feet. it's not hard to hide a snake no matter how big they are.
