View Full Version : Pothos Ivy
I dont expect to much but I have been told this is a great plant for reptile enclosures. I just wanted to get opinions and find out if anyone has personal experience with it.

I used to have them in my dragon cages.
I liked them because I never had a dragon rip one up, and they did not try and eat it...
I tried Jade plants too, the branchs kept breaking off.
Never had them in a snake cage tho.

I have pothos in my BP's vivarium. It's the only plant that is actually growing so far. The snake crawls over it, and it just pops right back up. However, I've heard it can get out of hand. If mine does, I'll just tear some of it out, I guess.
I also have Sempervivum, Sansevieria, and Zamioculcas zamiifolia, which are doing well but haven't begun growing yet.

Pothos is the best plant to keep with everything. Its really easy to take care of and will survive every type of environment. I have been using pothos for my crested gecko cages for a while and have recently started using it with my collared lizards. The best thing is you can split it up into smaller pieces and it will continue to grow so one plant can go a long way.

Good choice of plant. I had one in my crested tank and cat gecko tanks. Very easy to care for and as already mentioned if you just take a piece of one and put it in some water it'll grow into a whole new plant!
