View Full Version : chinese water dragon: blue leg?
my Chinese water dragon's leg has started turning blue, he is about three months old now. Is this just a color change because he is getting older, or is their something wrong with his leg? I can take a picture if it will help.
thank you!
Agreed pictures would be good. But he could just be developing colours.

the last one, it is hard to see the blue, but it is still more blue than the other leg.
Hmm, how does the area feel it just sorta looks like its getting color.

do you notice if the leg is moving aswell as the other?
the leg is moving the same amount as the other leg, and it feels the same as the other leg...

i dont see the blueishness being a problem, unless say his toes turn blue. Then its a circulation problem and could result in the loss of the limb or if infection sets in his life. But because it is blue id keep an eye on it. If it is a result of a injury it could be for something like a bruise, or something like the problem i mentioned before. Though I think this is just a simple colour change. Terri my aussie dragon never seemed to stay the same shade of one colour.
That's definatley not a bruise..and it's not swollen or anything so I think you're probably good. But, just in case, as Faequine said keep an eye on it anyways.

ive never seen that and ive had a lot of cwd. over 15. raised to over a 12months. some 6 years. thats weird. not normal. id keep a real real close eye on it and if it starts to spred... id take him in.or if it starts affecting him in any way. hes a little dark to begin with. about to shed maybe. you need to feed him a little more. hes a little under weight. that dragon is not 3 months old. more like 6 or more. what is the total lenght of him?
