She is, indeed! She should have no problem taking something larger, either--those pinkies just slide down easy, don't they? ;)
ya there is barely even a bulge anymore. and she stayed out of her hide for couple hours or so last night after she ate and explored so i think she was looking for more food. she usually eats and goes right back to her hide but last night was different.

Sounds like it to me as well.
Let 'er bulge next time! ;) She'll regain her slim, girlish figure pretty quickly!
oh i agree but the last time she pooped it was a black runny poop and i was told that means she was feeding too much. and brb's have a tendency to want to eat more than they should.
Very pretty snake, glad to finally see her out of shed! You captured her irradecence really well. :)

I'm wondering if it could also be related to the fact that you're feeding pinkies? Just speculating, but I think a larger prey animal with fur would be less likely to lead to a runny poop.

That's a good question. Kyle, that doesn't look like cypress or aspen shavings . . . is it pine? might not be a good substrate for the snake--cedars and pines have toxic phenols that can be bad for the snake.

Wow!
Amazing pictures!!
oh common now you didn't really think i would use pine did you?????? lol
it is repti-bark
she really seems to like it she can kinda dig down into it and really get comfortable and i have almost no risk of her swallowing it.
what is the best way to measure a snake without stressing it out. i know that forcefully stretching it out is not a good idea by any "stretch"(that pun was intended) of the imagination, but i really want to measure her and her last shed was all rolled up and i couldn't get it unrolled without ripping it. not to mention i don't want to wait until her next shed to get a measurement.

An easy way is to trace the snake with a piece of string and then measure the string. Large snakes can be allowed to crawl against a wall so they are almost perfectly straight.
For some time now, I've been using a program called Snake Measurer, I believe it was made by Serpent Widgets. You take a digital oicture with a reference object. You set your measurements against the object and draw a line down the snakes body. I'm not sure if it is still availble for download, but it is a good program.
Ill have to look that up when my laptop gets fixed. i've been dying to measure the silly thing

That program sounds really cool! The string idea works well!

ok i downloaded the program but i can't seem to fit my pictures small enough in the program to use it. i think i need to make my camera resolution littlier.
