Hey people, found a cool pic on the itnternet and had a question for all those that know large Boidae...

Are the double rows of teeth common in the upper jaws of large pythons?

I dont knpw from experience, but i do know that on the discovery channel and nat geo channel they show videos of big pythons and boas and anacondas with double rows.

dude i've seen that. i always wondered the story behind that. whoever was on the other side of that fence when it struck was really lucky.

From what I understand, It was able to crawl underneath the electric fence, ate a large prey item and then couldn't get back out...

Pretty much all snakes have the double rows of teeth like that. Any Colubrid or Boid species I have ever worked with ever anyway. Mark

As for that picture it has been around for years now & yes large Boids have large teeth & thats WHY you don't want to get tagged by a snake thats between 10-20 ft long ;) Mark

i dont wanna be bit by any snake though the smaller arnt so bad but that thing would pierce through your hand lol
