I have a borneo short tail python. She's currently about 2 feet and I have her in a sterlite container. It's 23" x 16" x 6" she'll be in there for probably another 5 - 6 months then she'll be upgraded to something bigger. I'm possibly going to go with her adult enclosure at the size of 4' x 2' x 2'. That should house all but the very large bloods as adults.

A 4' x 2' x 2' enclosure is about 60 gallons--that's off the top of my head, as I didn't actually calculate the volume, which you can do.

Excuse me; I mis-estimated the volume of a 4' x 2' x 2' enclosure by half--it's almost 120 gallons. I forgot to double the width of my fish tank! :(

A tank is still worthless for a blood python or any in the same family Chu. Not the same amount of room nor, is it easy to keep proper humidity and glass sucks to clean.

I keep mine in a rubbermaid container. That is what you should keep them in until it outgrows the rubbermaid. As an adult, use an enclosure that is 4 x 2 x 2. You can buy them from the pet store in scarborough called All Reptiles. You could probably also get them at Port Credit Pets or ship them from the states.

Yes, I understand that. Was just trying to help on the volume conversion. But I'm curious now--what display enclosures do you guys recommend? I've been looking at exo-terra, majestic . . . thought I saw one that started with an H, like ??habit?? or something but when I went back to look at it I'd lost the page somehow. Some of these run into a lot of $$$ so I need to start saving up for new/better enclosures, esp if I'm going to get more snakes. What I've got now is adequate but barely.
chu ur best bet is to build a custom one. it will take more time but you can design it yourself much cheeper than you will buy one. besides you can make it to match your house and your tastes.
yep, its a bit of work but you can have a glass or plexiglass front for display.

If you want to outright buy an enclosure then there's a few in the states I can recommend. Animal Plastics from what I've heard, are terrific. I haven't heard anything lately of them but I do believe they are still in business and make a great product.
Jeff Ronne at boaphile also makes enclosures. I've seen these first hand and they aren't bad. They have a lot of options to choose from so you can customize them fairly well.
Those are the two I would look into first. There's also Vision cages and I do believe freedom breeder may also make more than just rack systems.
You can build your own but it can be a bit of a hassle. It's certainly cheaper for the material but you make up for that in time.
