As the title is. I'm looking for feedback on the top breeders out there that sells crocodilian. I would like to buy one off of

Crocs aren't bred for the private hobbiest. It's not an easy task to accomplish by any means so don't count any "top breeders" in the way of crocs as pets.

I suppose so. They aren't to be taken lightly as pets. Incredibly intelligent.

Ya! If they where to be friendly with a friendly name to all. Would it really be fun to have them then?

And not so friendly

It's just that everything--I mean EVERYTHING--is potentially food.

Including you.

Same as a snake, but with lots more (I think) and bigger teeth!

Ever go to a zoo that has a Komodo dragon with a small child? We went with our granddaughter once. Very, very creepy to watch the Komodo watching her. It was all too clear that he was watching potential prey. {shudder}

No crocs for me, thank you! Good luck, body!

If we were potentially food all the time to crocodillians then they'd be more cases of us being eaten, not just in the wild, but also in zoos.

They don't quite view us as a meal, but they don't seem to not take advantage if possible.

That being said, if you're looking at getting a crocodillian for the sheer fact that it will be aggressive towards you, then you're looking at getting them for the wrong reason. I think you're better off with a monitor...don't get as big, can be aggressive and easier to find.

A croc does make an assessment about whether you're too big to eat, or to try to eat. Even so, there are plenty of cases of them going after human prey, particularly small children, in Florida. Zoos probably have fewer cases (maybe none, but I haven't researched this) because they have their employees take precautions.

Guess I don't trust them, huh?

Let's just say they get bigger than I want to try to handle. Y'all can have fun with them!

What precautions? I know a lady who used to walk among the gators where she worked without a worry. I personally don't think they size you up for a meal all the time. Maybe if they were starving.

I would concede the point that in Africa it happens fairly often, but then again, that's a wild area and well tribes live on the river banks crocs frequent.

You seem to think that crocodillians only attack us as predators looking for food. Maybe it's just a defensive attempt? Which can be very dangerous in itself though.

You should never trust one anyways. I don't or wouldn't. Doesn't mean they are these crazy man-hunting creatures though.

Well I don't beilive something would think of us as food. if you feed them whan they want something. I would think they well be fulled.. Any thing bite. LOL Hell I do. like me im really good in working with gaters. I love them but the bull law of NC would not let us have them for pets. Well There is rings pass that. Like reptile expos. =P But I dont like to run for something in lines so i hope to meet up with a breeder to meet with. Or I may go all out and order me a Crocodile off the net... Who knows. they run for 150$$ to 200$ in the game of line I like. Now I did see a site that wants 600$ for a baby. Litte high But me I look where the deal are...
Hell if you got one you dont want and what some $$$ post it to me...............

There are not breeders who just give these things to the public. Especially for pets! It's hard enough breeding these animals so I don't see them being sold so easily, just because you want one.

Actually Crocs are known to be more cunning than average reptiles.
