I got a ball python for christmas and this is it's first week with me. Well.....i woke up this morning and couldn't find him. my doors were both closed tightly last night. I can't find him anywhere in my room. He's only six months old. i'm curious if they'd come downstairs? can they get through tightly shut doors? And would my cat eat him?
p.s. he's also trying to shed right now.
I dont know your cat but its more likely if they met it would only kill it if anything. Most likely though it has found tight little warm place in your room somwhere. They can squeeze through and into very tight places so make a careful search of everywhere rather it looks as if he could fit in there or not.

Going out into the big bad world is scary, so they generally try to find a good, tight, dark hiding place that's fairly warm (for them) pretty quickly. Look all around near the BP's enclosure.
If your doors have even half an inch of space--or maybe less--under them, the BP could conceivably have slithered under & out.

i found him. He crawled into the screen in the tank. But he won't eat.....the mouse has been there since friday and I'm stuck cleaning behind pet food.

Hi,
I have a 4ft BP and he can curl up to fit into a lunchbox (not that I've tried it...just saying sizewise). They can curl up very small so look places that you think might be too small...just to be sure! They also like warm and dark. Look in and under things.
Best wishes
Kenny
