Here are some pics of the cageI just got finished building after many months of reading from this site... I'm sure Sly and Natasha are very happy in there new cages, but I'm sure they don't like being apart from each other now...

That's one small picture, but the enclosures look awesome!! :) Great job...

How long do you think it took you to build them?

Thanks!!!
But I'm still trying to figure out how to get a bigger pic up, everything I tried to put up was always to big the sight said!!!

The cage was pretty much built in a weekend the glass doors getting hardware stain and varnish it, then put the floor in... The whole thing took around a week and a half to finish ..Then I left it set up with the lights on to cure for about five days....

Just like to say thanks for the complaments... I have the other pic posted in the photo gallery if anyone could help me post them in here...

I really not sure how it will be to clean out, but I'm sure not that bad with the lanolium tile on the floor...

I put your pics up for you ;) Those enclosures look great! To post pics, right click on the picture you have uploaded to the gallery to bring up the properties box and copy the image URL. Then, in your post where you want the pic to be, type < img src="paste.image.url.here"> (but without the first space after the <, i just had to put it there so it showed up in typing). Then repeat those steps for every picture you wish to put in that post :) Hope this helps ;)

Now everyone can see the three different pics... I just had to share them.. One of these days I'll get around to putting some pics of Sly and Natasha up.. The next step is to get Sly to breed Natasha... But I'm not in a hurry..

Wasn't really that hard to build ... Thanks to my step father being really handy with wood... I came up with a desine that I would like ... Wanting the cage to seperate any time I wanted to move it... We both put are thoughts together and that was the cage we come up with.....

do you have a ceramic heat emitter in one? if you do, does it radiat heat forward or all around?

Beakster

Yes Norman

I use a ceramic heater in the bottom cage ... The heat seems to be be emitted around ok, rather then just forward....

Down the road I plan on getting heat pannels to put in the tops of each cage... Dose anyone Know if it is possible to buy heat pannels in Canada????

what did you use as the cage around the heat emitter? did you make it or what? i need to build something like that before i pick my snake up but i am having problems figuring out how to do it. i have some hardware cloth but i dont know how to get it to hold together as a box. Also does the wire around it heat up to a degree that it could burn the snake?
sorry about all the questions, just trying to figure this out for myself.

Norman
I just used a wire mesh kind of like chicken wire but way smaller holes and much heavier.... The wire around dosen't heat up to burn the snakes...The way I have my lights covered are not going to stay forever, cause I plan on getting Heat pannels... When and if I can buy them here in Ontario...
