I have a red tail boa that needs some help! I cant bring it to the vet cause im broke. Anyways She is acting perfectly fine...has a great appetite and is responsive. I am taking good care of her however I over looked one thing...humidity. So she developed what looked like a patch of shedding skin on her nose but it was sunked in her nose a bit. I think the skin started to die/rot. I didnt even know about bad shedding for a while till I reserched it. I created my own humidifier which is amazing. After a few days in the humid aquarium blood started to form around the patch on her nose. Then the patch fell of and now it is a raw flesh patch on her nose.....I think this is good cause it is starting the process of healing.
I know snakes are very sensitive so you got to be careful what you expose them to. Anyways my question is Is there anything I can put on the wound for now to help it or speed the process of healing without harming the snake.
