Hello. I'm Laura, I'm 25, and I got my first snake this past summer. My brother had snakes when I was growing up, I decided I needed one now. I got a nicaraguan boa from a local pet store that everyone recommended. I had him (her? not sure) for a few months and we did great. Eating and shedding and everything was fine. Then my snake got mites. I came to this site, learned how to get rid or them and did so. It worked - thanks for the advice by the way - mites are gone. Now we have a new issue though. Zack (my daughter named him), has been trying to shed for weeks. Its been more than a month for sure, his skin is almost off, and he looks awful. He hasn't eaten in probably 2 months which I understand is okay, they don't eat a lot in the winter, right? But what would prevent him from completing his shed for so long, and what do I do? The last time he shed, the whole process only took about a week (I think), this has been going on for almost 2 months. I'd really appreciate any help.
