Heellp please ! :) i need help identifying this snake?

okay, hello, im new to this forums site thinger, haha.
but my dads friend found a snake and expected me to care for it, haha. iv been wanting a snake for a while, but this wasnt what id expected.
anyways, hes pretty small, about 4-5 inches in length and a light brownish color with little spots on him.
hes pretty young so im having trouble identyfing it?
help would be GREATLY appreciated ! :)

how do i add a photo?

Julie, if you have a digital camera, take some pictures of the snake. Include a ruler in the photo to give us an idea of the size. Then upload the photos to your computer. Then get online and log into photobucket. It's really user friendly and will tell you how to upload your photos to the website. Photobucket will provide you with different types of links; copy the one for a website by clicking on it. Then come here and paste it into the body of your message. Hope this helps.
