I have had various reptiles for years--snakes, turtles, lizards--along with the more usual dogs, cats, fish. Have 3 sons, so of course we had snakes! All previous snakes have been local caught--I'm in central Oklahoma--ranging from garter snakes and king snakes to rattlers & copperheads. Then I took care of a friend's Pueblan milk snake (apricot morph, really pretty) for awhile and decided to get a more exotic snake of my own. Turned out my DH really likes pythons, so we got a BP, which is now about 22" long and is close to doubling in size from the time we got it in mid-May.

Sons are 25, married, living in Wichita, KS; 22.5, married, living in Portland, OR; and 19, not married, currently getting ready to ride his bicycle with 2 friends down the coast from Portland to southern California and then across back to Oklahoma, where we are. They will be leaving Portland in about a week. So DH & I are home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, fish, and the BP. DH is a physicist and I'm a doctoral student in Communication.

Don't have any pics on this computer to upload, so that'll have to wait until next time. I look forward to getting to know everyone!
