Hello Snake lovers! I am new to the forum and just looking for a little info. I am not sure if I have given the snake name correctly. Is it Red Tail Boa? Or Redtail Boa? She is about 5' 7". Her name is Bailey.

Anyway, it seems that this snake in the wild, would eat even sick animals if hungry. Has anyone ever fed an ill animal to a snake? We are raising our own mice... we worry whether or not a sick mouse might cause problems. Does anyone know for sure???
Thank you for the input! SweetThing2U:Wow:

i dont see it being a good idea. but snakes can digest pretty much anything.
people feed their snakes dead or frozen rodents all the time.
but keeping that in mind, i try to feed healthy active rodents to all my animals.
if u had a sick mouse i would freeze it first then feed it... or just freeze it and throw it out

How many mice do you have to feed her for one meal:confused:

Why not feed her rats??

Or rabbits.

I do know of a one guy who used to feed his retic and burms roadkill all the time. I wouldn't recommend it because I think this guy was the exception and not the rule. Interesting pictures he always had though.
