Hello Everyone. I am new here of course. :) But not new to snakes although have been in a hiatus for over 10 years. I used to have a collection of a variety of CA King Snakes that I just adored. Then my oldest son, who was two at the time, came running up to me one night with a wild snake he managed to snag. Luckily for me and him it was just a juvenile gopher snake and not a rattle snake but was enough to scare me. So my snake collection was re-homed and no more snakes for me.

A couple of years ago my son started to ask me if he could get a snake. I put him off for awhile due to my youngest son being young but then that day came. I saw a Ball Python that was just stunning. So home he came and thus started my snake addiction again. I did not realize how much I have missed having them. To date we now have our Ball Python, Sand Boa and of course my beloved Banded CA King Snake and Striped CA King Snake (both Desert Varities). And our spare guest room is now being changed into the 'Snake Room' much to my kids delight.

Recently we have decided to try our hand at breeding and have purchased a breeding pair of Het. pythons in hope of getting a Piebald or two Pythons. My holy grail of the ball python I guess you can say.

I have found this forum very helpful and if I have questions I usually can find the answer here in either posts others have done or by the websites other members have (I have to thank Chris and his site Just---Balls. Wonderful informative site for pythons).

Well I guess thats enough for now. I will close with thanking the owners of this forum for supporting a place that is a wealth of information and helpful/knowledgeable people to help those of us that are just starting out or are coming back to the wonderful world of snakes.

Thank you :) Yes very addictive and so glad to have them again. Boa's have become the center of our collection. While my first love will always be the CA King Snakes they aren't the friendliest and my boys are not comfortable handeling mine.

Sounds like you have a nice boa collection going on. Our next project after the piebalds are going to be Albino (at least one for the collection but will try for a pair that breeds them if we are succesful with our first breeding pair) as it was the choice made after the Piebalds. Then I hope to get a super cinnamon breeding pair. But this is way off in the future as our hets won't be ready to breed for at least a couple of years.

Oh yes, was it mentioned that the boas are very addictive. LOL
